Let the yard work begin !
Saturday morning the neighbor rented a dethatching machine, he rented it for the day and was done in a little over an hour. So what did I end up doing on Saturday....you got it. I dethatched the yard, I raked the yard....then my son picked up all the thatch.
Since the ground was all loosed up I then decided to overseed the entire lawn.
Now with new seed down I successfully pushed off the first mowing until the first week of May!

Already mowed once. With the rain yesterday, will have to do it again Tue or Wed.
My Dad (in St Louis area) has mowed his 5 times already. Not surprising since they had a high of 92 Friday.
It doesn't seem like you saved youreself much work that way.
